摘要

The synthesis and characterisation of N-(3-methoxyphenyl)itaconimide and N-(4-methoxyphenyl)itaconimide obtained by the reaction of itaconic anhydride with m-anisidine and p-anisidine respectively,are described.Structural and thermal characterisation of monomers was performed.Copolymerisation of methyl methacrylate with various amounts of N-(3-methoxyphenyi)itaconimide and N-(4-methoxyphenyl)itaconimide ranging from 0.1 to 0.5 was performed in solution with azobisisobutyronitrile as an initiator.
