4.PHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND TEST METHODS

Hexamethylene(bis-3-thiophene acetamide)was synthesised and its copolymer with pyrrole was prepared in water/pTSA solvent electrolyte medium by electrochemically path.A mixture of 3-thiophene acetic acid and thionyl chloride was refluxed for 1 hour and the excess of thionyl chloride was removed by vacuum.The resulting product was added drop-wise to hexamethylene diamine in tetrahydrofuran at 0-5 °C.The final product is recovered by filtration and washed with tetrahydrofurane.The yield was 45%.
