摘要

The complexes [ML(2)] (M = Cu and Ni) were prepared by electrochemical oxidation of the appropriate metal in a solution of 2-(2-pyridyl)-N-tosylethylamine in acetonitrile. The crystal and molecular structures of bis {4-methyl-N-(2-pyridin-2-yl-ethyl)benzenesulfonamide}copper(II) and bis{4-methyl-N-(2-pyridin-2-yl-ethyl)benzenesulfonamide} nickel(II) were determined by X-ray diffraction. Both compounds are isotypical and crystallize in the triclinic space group P1 with one molecule in the unit cell. In both structures the metal atoms are in a distorted square-planar environment defined by two amide and two pyridyl nitrogen atoms. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. [References: 23]
