FDA Finds Low Levels of Perchlorate in Food;EPA to Use Study for Drinking Water Decision

A Food and Drug Administration study found perchlorate in food at levels determined safe by the Environmental Protection Agency,an FDA official told BNA Jan.10.EPA has been waiting for the study to help make its determination on whether to set a drinking water standard for perchlorate,according to Benjamin Grumbles,assistant EPA administrator for water.
