PHILADELPHIA—Six companies with operations in New Jersey would pay a total of 2.2 million to resolve natural resource damage claims arising from hazardous substance discharges at 10 sites, under terms of two separate administrative settlements proposed by New Jersey environmental regulators Jan. 22. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) published notices of the proposed settlements in the New Jersey Register Jan. 22 (40 N.J. Reg; 757(c); 40 N.J. Reg. 758(a)), starting the clock on a 30-day public comment period.
