摘要

Three monomeric boratranes B[(OCH_2CH_2) _nN(CH_2CMe_2O)_(3-n)] (n = 0, 1; n = 1, 2; n = 2, 3) have been synthesized by the reaction of B(OMe) _3 with a series of triethanolateamines such as [(OCH _2CH_2)_nN(CH_2CMe_2O) _(3-n)]~(3-) (n = 0, L1; n = 1, L2; n = 2, L3), where the number of CMe_2 groups adjacent to the OH functionality varied from 3 (L1H_3) to 2 (L2H_3) to 1 (L3H_3). These boratranes 1-3 have been characterized by solution ~1H, ~(13)C{~1H} and ~(11)B NMR, and the crystal structures of 1 and 2 have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
