U.S.Production of Plastics Products Will Gradually Accelerate in 2005

The growth rate for total U.S.output of plastics products will gradually accelerate as 2005 progresses,and by year end will post a gain of 4% over 2004.Last year,production of plastics products increased only 1 %.This forecast is based on a continuation of the current trends of steady improvement in the U.S.economy,a moderate decline in the prices for energy and resins,and a stable to moderately lower value for the U.S.dollar.
