The share price of Covestro rose by 10% soon after listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on the morning of 6 October. Shares were priced at ?24.00 in the initial public offering of Covestro - the former Bayer MaterialScience - and the price increased to ?26.50 in early trading, before finishing at ?26.85 at the end of the first day's trading. On 1 October, Bayer reduced its original pricing range for Covestro from ?26.50-?35.50 per share to between ?21.50 and ?24.50 per share due to financial market uncertainties.
