Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik has redesigned its calender used for the production of small/medium batches of PVC film.The Calandrette is available in two versions that can be used to produce transparent or non-transparent hard and semi-hard PVC with a thickness ranging from 80-800 micron.While the smaller version's roll width is 1,200 mm and output is 600 kg/hour,the larger model has a 1,900 mm roll width and a maximum output of 1,300 kg/hour.A new design feature is that underground digging is no longer necessary to install the Calandrette.The complete line can be assembled on one level,thereby improving accessibility.Other features of the three-roll polishing stack are the 60 degree angle of the supporting stand and hydraulically-adjusted nip.
