Venezuela is a country rich in oil resource,being the fourth largest oil producer and the eighth oil exporter around the globe.The 91.67-square-meter land is also rich in natural gas reserve,ranking second worldwide.In spite of these natural resources,which are prerequisites for a good development of plastics industry,the country in northern South America lacks world-class infrastructure and technical expertise to move further,and so the Venezuelan government is launching plans to develop plastics a"national industry",according to Pedro Ramirez,corporative manager,Olefins and Plastics,of Pequiven.
