Compounding growth by leaps and bounds

When most of us envision compounding,we hark back to the days when custom compounders were minor players.Not any more.Several factors prevalent in today's markets are working together to boost and broaden the role of compounding.A June report from BCC Research,The Changing Plastics Compounding Business,places North American plastics compounding consumption at about 63 billion lb for 2005.This year,BCC expects volume to increase to almost 66 billion lb and estimates almost 80 billion lb by 2011 at an average annual growth rate(AAGR)of 3.9%.
