New LDPE line in Bratislava officially inaugurated/ Facility's output mostly earmarked for export

Now that its cracker has been restarted and all preparatory works completed, Slovnaft Petrochemicals (Bratislava / Slovakia; www.slovnaft.sk) on 8 September officially inaugurated its new 220,000 t/y LDPE line. "LDPE4" replaces the existing LDPE lines at the site, which were capable of turning out 178,000 t/y, and have meanwhile been switched off, the company said. After a period of trial runs, commercial production is expected to commence in early 2016.
