Re-Evaluation of Cord Blood Arterial and Venous Reference Ranges for pH, pO_2, and pCO_2

Arterial and venous cord blood reference ranges for pH and pCO_2 correlate in both groups of subjects. The widest reference range for pCO_2 is for arterial cord blood in subjects with spontaneous vaginal delivery. The widest reference range for pO_2 is for venous cord blood in subjects with caesarean delivery.
