Strong growth in eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa / Output to rise by 3.5% p.a. to 2020 / IAL Consultants

Production of polyurethane products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is estimated to grow at an average of 3.5% annually until 2020, to reach 7.3m t, according to a new report by IAL Consultants (London / UK; www.ialconsultants. com). The researcher puts total production at 6.1m t in 2015 compared with 5.8m t in 2013. Western Europe is the largest region, accounting for 3.5m t/y, with eastern Europe at just under 1.6m t/y and Middle East/Africa at over 1m t/y. However, annual growth is forecast to be the strongest in eastern . Europe and Middle East/Africa, at a rate of 4.6% compared with just 2.6% in Europe.
