It looks as though Invista (Wichita, Kansas / USA; www. invista.com) soon plans to commission a PA 12 pilot plant at group headquarters. The privately owned PA 6.6 producer says it has several patents pending on a new monomer technology, which in addition to simplifying production, also makes it more efficient. The company plans on gathering market input and feedback "immediately" before beginning product qualification in early 2015, which would then be followed by commercial-scale production.
