Packaging giant Amcor (Abbotsford/Australia; www.am cor.com)lifted sales by 3.1% to AUD 11.4 bn (nearly EUR 6.8 bn)in fiscal 2006 (30 June).However,EBIT fell by 5.6% to just under EUR 460m.Net profit declined nearly 12% to EUR 240m.Developments at Amcor PET Packaging (Europe:Zaventem/Belgium; www.amcor.com),the group's PET bottle division,were similar to those of the group as a whole.Sales rose by 9.6% to more than AUD 4 bn (just under EUR 2.4 bn),but EBIT dropped by 5.7% to EUR 145m.
