Lack of information and high cost are main barriers / Global market to reach USD 12 bn by 2020 / EY study

A survey by Ernst & Young (EY, London / UK; www.ey.com) reveals that most businesses have little knowledge and experience of 3D printing. Of the 900 decision makers polled in 12 countries, 64% have no experience of the technology, which is also known as additive manufacturing. A third of companies that lack experience say an absence of information about 3D printing is holding them back.
