French court overturns export ban for packaging made with BPA/ Legal challenge by PlasticsEurope

PlasticsEurope (Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticseurope.org) has won a remarkable victory in its fight against France's ban on manufacturing and exporting packaging containing bis-phenol A (BPA), which was passed in the final instance in December 2012 and took effect in January 2015. The producers' grouping is still unhappy with some aspects of the French legislation, however, and plans to continue its fight.
