Valorplast lowers price for PET and polyolefin bales / Validity of current model increasingly questioned

Although talks are ongoing, it is becoming increasingly clear that Valorplast (Puteaux / France; www.valorplast.com) - the plastic packaging warrantor of French recycling organisation Eco-Emballages (www.ecoemballages.fr) - will lower the redemption price of HDPE, PP and PET bales once again in Q4 2015. The main reason for the renewed downward correction is the drop in prices, of virgin PET especially. As a result, Val-orplast's economic model is increasingly coming under fire.
