PE: Suppliers managed to defend their high margins, resisting buyers' attempts to extract more than the fall in C2. The only exception was import-dominated LLDPE (C4) film grades, where concessions ended up being somewhat larger, albeit from a previously very high level. Availability was affected by the restrictions at Tarragona and Stenungsund. However, since Eu- ropean notations are relatively high in the global context, imports have started to appear again and were able to fill the resultant gaps. This meant the market was largely balanced. Producers have already called for hikes of EUR S0-80/t for November. However, these demands appear more like wishful thinking.
