China Standard Thermoplastics: C2, C3, SM at lows not seen in years / Producers worried about declines

Following the course set by crude oil prices, all feedstock import quotes fell markedly in November. Domestic feedstock prices also plummeted. Notations of both imported and domestically manufactured polymers hit new lows not seen in years, causing quite some concern among local producers as their earnings appear to be quickly headed into red territory. By the end of November, China's national PE inventory had contracted by a slight 2.5% over October, but was still 11.6% higher than at the end of November 2013.
