摘要

With a global market volume of around EUR 3.7 trillion in 2013, the E&E industry is one of the world's largest economic segments. After the high-tech bubble burst in 2003, the world's E&E market has grown by an average of 6.5% a year, which means it has almost doubled over this period. It only took the E&E segment one year to more than make up for the losses suffered in 2009 and from 2010 to 2013 the global market volume grew by an impressive EUR 554 bn, according to a recent study from the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI, Frankfurt; www.zvei.org).
