Global bioplastics demand is expected to grow by an average of 32.7% a year to nearly 6m t by 2019 from 1.4m t in 2014, led by soaring demand in the USA, agricultural developments in China and a global shift towards sustainability, says BCC Research (Wellesley, Massachusetts / USA; www.bccresearch. com).
