Production of PEEK and PAEK begins in China / New distribution centres at worldwide locations

At Changshu, in China's coastal Jiangsu province, a site opened in July 2012 at a cost of EUR 21m, the company recently began production of PEEK and PAEK compounds. The start-up in China "represents a major commitment by Solvay to local production and supply of these ultrapolymers for the Chinese market and for the region in general," said Chris Wilson, a senior vice president at Solvay.
