Anti-dumping duty on Chinese imports to be slashed to 13.8% / EuCIA to work against 'harmful' tariffs

Anti-dumping duties of 13.8% on glass fibre originating in China are likely to be imposed in March 2011 according to the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA, Brussels / Belgium; www.eucia.org). The move follows provisional anti-dumping measures announced in September 2010 which imposed duties of 43.6% for a period of six months from 17 September 2010. EuCIA says it believes that representatives of the EU27 member states voted provisionally on the European Commission proposal for definitive antidumping duties on glass fibre, excluding yarns.
