Management holding company Delton (Bad Homburg / Germany; www.delton.com) has sold CeDo Folien und Haushaltsprodukte (Monchengladbach / Germany; www. cedo.com) to the private equity partnership Rutland Partners (London / UK; www.rutlandpartners.com) for an undisclosed amount. Details of the transaction will be released after completion of merger control clearances, which are expected to take three months. CeDo is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of household disposables, producing both own-label and proprietary products such as bin bags, bin liners and cling film. The business, which has a strong focus on the UK, German and French markets with growing sales in eastern Europe, is profitable and cash generative on sales of GBP 185m (EUR 210m). Chief executive Bjorn Arild Hoem is president of the European Plastic Films Association (EuPF) within the European Plastics Converters Assocation (EuPC).
