Global polypropylene consumption is expected to climb to 56.6m t by 2020, up from 38.4m t in 2011 according to the latest study from US business intelligence provider GBI Research (www.gbiresearch.com). In its report, "Polypropylene global market to 2020 - Developing regions of Asia-Pacific and Middle East and Africa to drive polypropylene market growth", GBI says polypropylene consumption is expected to grow at a robust compound annual growth rate of 4.5 %.
