In the first.10 days of August, western European buyers of standard thermoplastics had not yet benefited in full from the producers' reduced costs even though polyolefin prices did go down. The reductions were on the whole equal to about half the fall in the cost of the respective monomer (C2 down EUR 18/t, C3 down EUR 38/t).
