Auto Applications Enlightening

Pulled in many directions, plastics are asked to lower the weight of commonplace parts and create novelty inside and outside of vehicles. And even if some of the non-essential features themselves add to vehicle weight, plastics allow them to be as light as possible. Illuminating these trends are a few examples from last fall's SPE automotive conference season and the 2008 Automotive Innovation Awards competition.
