In volume terms, the engineering plastics market in western Europe was somewhat livelier in June than in May, although activity was still at a low level. On average, volume transactions in the first half of 2009 were down by about a quarter compared with the 2008 period. Despite mounting feedstock costs, polymer notations barely budged.
