New EPS plant in Austria I Closing ranks with the majors /Growth for 'Lambdapor'materials

Austrian EPS specialist Sunpor Kunststoff (St.Polten;www.sunpor.at)is closing ranks to the leading European producers.The company has announced plans to build a new 100,000 t/y production plant - using its proprietary technology - on a new site near its current base west of Vienna.The plant,which will be flanked by a new logistics base,is slated to go on stream in 2009 and lift Sunpor's overall EPS capacity to 175,000 t/y.The largely independently operating subsidiary of O.N.Sunde (Oslo /Norway;www.onsunde.no)is reacting to the current boom in the European insulation sector,both in western and eastern Europe.
