Flexible packaging is the second most profitable segment of the U.S. packaging industry, when measured in terms of "profit as a percentage of revenues, according to a new study from Allied Development. (Note: Glass containers are cited as the most profitable, but due to the huge investment required for glass production, it needs the higher margin to achieve an acceptable return on investment).
