WRAP: China remains key trading partner for the UK/ Prices near peak levels / Demand for rPET still growing

China remains the "Key trading partner of recovered plastics for the UK and exports have continued to increase after the market disruption in late 2008. Prices have also recovered and are now close to the peaks reached in mid-2008. These are two of the key findings of a new report prepared by the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP, Banbury / UK; www.wrap.org.uk), according to which China accounted for 88% of UK exports of recovered plastics in 2009 and 2010.
