Dow Chemical (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com) and Rohm & Haas (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania / USA; www. rohmhaas.com) will square off in a US court on 6 March 2009 over Dow's delay of their planned merger - if an interim settlement is not reached in the meantime. Dow declined to complete the deal within the agreed two days following completion of the regulatory approval process on 27 January and Rohm & Haas subsequently sued for breach of contract.
