Western European sellers of polyolefins made a rare coup last month when they turned what was a clearly downward price trend in June directly into a definite upward movement.PS and EPS producers also succeeded in lifting their prices,although this had more to do with the constant ups and downs of feedstock notations than anything else.PVC producers consolidated their prices in July.One PIE source summed up the general situation as follows:"The rule that prices decline in summer and then rise again in autumn has not applied for two years now.Once again,the producers have managed to turn the tables."
