Sukano Polymers Corp.(Duncan,S.C.) has introduced a slip/antiblock masterbatch,Sukano PLA dc S511,which is derived from the renewable (plant-based) resource polylactide acid (PLA).The additive is said to eliminate some of the disadvantages encountered in PLA processing.For example,it adjusts for the yellowish color of PLA and serves as a clarifier.
