Saudi Aramco faces delays at petrochemical,refinery projects

Singapore-Saudi Aramco was experiencing delays at its petrochemical project in Ras Tanura and its Jazan refinery project,in addition to a delay with its PetroRabigh petrochemical joint venture with Japan's Sumitomo,according to the Middle East Economic Survey September 22.The Ras Tanura project is a joint venture with Dow Chemical,which involves upgrading the existing 550,000 b/d refinery into an integrated petrochemical plant.
