Indonesian Chandra Asri to cut cracker rates on high naphtha cost

Singapore-Indonesia's Chandra Asri planned to cut operating rates at its sole cracker in Anyer,West Java,in the first week of January because of high naphtha costs which have eroded petrochemicals margins,a source close to the company said December 30.The percentage of the rate cut and its duration were unclear.The cracker has an ethylene capacity of 590,000 mt/year and a propylene capacity of 270,000 mt/year.
