The toluene window between Europe and Asia came under renewed interest in the second week of January,as market participants - disgruntled by the relative volatility of European prices - began contemplating the development of favorable arbitrage economics,traders said January 9.On January 5,toluene was at 780/mt FOB Rotterdam.With freight rates to Asia at 90-100/mt,this meant that profit margins could be derived by shipping European cargoes to Asia-where prices were at 880/mt FOB Korea.
