Interest increasing in the US for imported Chinese PVC

San Antonio-US PVC consumers are increasingly seeking resin from China and other parts of Asia-traditionally the world's largest importer-industry sources said March 27.Speaking on the sidelines of the 31st National Petrochemicals & Refiners Association Convention in San Antonio,one importer reported deals concluded at 45 cents/lb(992/mt),delivered duty paid.Other market sources reported hearing imported resin prices quoted in the mid-40s cents/lb.The import prices from Asia were significantly lower than values for domestically produced PVC in the low to mid-50s cents/lb.
