Rep.Pallone to Introduce Legislation Reinstating Tax to Finance Trust Fund

Rep.Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) said March 1 he plans to introduce legislation to reinstate "polluter pays" corporate taxes to finance the Superfund Trust Fund.During a hearing before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Environment and Hazardous Materials,Pallone said he also plans to introduce a bill that would reauthorize EPA's brownfields program.Authorization expired Sept.30,2006.
