The unprecedented period of no tradingactivity in the Turkish scrap importmarket continued into the first weekof June. It was believed that mills werestill using material from April and Maydeliveries along with reducing theirutilization rates. However, deals werebooked in a flurry of activity in thesecond week of June, with trades settlingaround the $230/mt mark, nearly $100/mt lower than the previous recorded deal.There was also price uncertainty amongparticipants, as indicated by a spread of$21/mt across trades.
