Tokyo-Mitsui OSK Lines and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha plan to reduce container shipping services linking Asia with the US and Europe this month as a result of weaker demand amid a global economic slowdown,Japanese financial daily Nikkei reported October 12.Slowing exports of consumer electronics and daily goods from Japan and China have prompted both companies to cut services even to Europe,which had been enjoying strong demand,the report said.Services to North America are usually scaled back in winter,but would be curtailed a month earlier than usual this year.
