State Says Farmers Accounted for Most Of Decline in State's Pesticide Use in 2006

LOS ANGELES-Agricultural use of pesticides in California dropped by 10 million pounds last year,according to a state report.Released Nov.29,the California Department of Pes-ticide Regulation report shows overall use of pesticides decreased from 195.3 million pounds in 2005 to 189.6 million pounds in 2006,about 6 million pounds.
