DuPont Textiles and Interiors plans to shed 2,000 jobs, some 10% of its global workforce, in a bid to improve flagging competitiveness, the company said Apr 29. Over two-thirds of the reductions will be made in manufacturing facilities and offices in the US, with most of the balance in Europe, the company siad.
