Houston--With as many as three USG styrene monomer production facilities offline following Tropical Storm Gustav,pricing sentiment was mixed September 2.Some expected prices to dramatically climb on the back of the outages,logistical issues,snug inventory and planned maintenance.These included Westlake's 590 million lbs/year facility at Lake Charles,Louisiana;Total and Sabic's 2.5 billion lbs/year unit at Carville,Louisiana;and Americas Styrenics'2.1 billion lbs/year SM facility at St.James.
