President Chirac Calls for New Research On Cancer Risks From Environmental Factors

PARIS-French President Jacques Chirac March 27 called for increased research on the rise of cancers linked to environmental factors or pollution.Chirac told participants in an annual assessment of France's national action plan against cancer that the high-profile initiative has stoked progress on the diagnosis,treatment,and survival rates for many types of cancers.
