EU Commission, Member States to Review Draft Guidance for REACH Safety Reports

RUSSELS-EU member states and the European Commission will meet Dec. 19-20 to discuss for the first time draft guidelines for preparing Chemical Safety Reports required under the European Union's REACH chemicals legislation. The Chemical Safety Report (CSR) is a key document that will have to be completed by all manufacturers and importers of chemicals in quantities of 10 metric tons or more as part of the registration process set out by REACH, which stands for the registration, evaluation, and authorization of chemicals.
