Japanese PVC output rebounds in June amid stronger construction demand

Tokyo-Japan's domestic demand for PVC has rebounded strongly in June,on the back of firm investment from the public sector after several weak months,said Kiyoshi Hino,vice-chairman of the Japan Vinyl Environmental Council,Jul 20.VEC is an advocacy group for PVC and VCM makers.Hino said that there had been a downturn in demand during April and May after hundreds of local governments all over Japan merged into new entities,resulting in fewer construction projects and thus less demand from pipe and cable manufacturers.
