European ACN spot prices climb over 1,500/mt on short global supply

London-Acrylonitrile prices in Northwest Europe continued their record breaking price increases in mid-May when spot levels reached l,500-l,520/mt CIF MED for the first time since Platts began assessing ACN on June 6,1996.Prices rose from l,420-l,450/mt CIF MED in early May due to a global shortage from planned and unplanned shutdowns,source said.
